When debating all the religions taught among humanity, knowing which one has the true answer is complicated. But the fact is only one religion can be true. Some say there are many ways to God; thus, we hear that spirituality or being a spiritual person will give a person peace and an eternal existence after death. But with all the different religious teachings governing the lives of humans worldwide, there can be only one truth, which will only be discovered or revealed after the death of the human body. Thus, we will eventually know the truth together and for everlasting. When we die, what is true will be evident.

The teachings of religion all revolve around the "spiritual life." Whether Christian, Muslim, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism, or others, spiritualism is a central theme among them. So, who has the right message? Who is teaching the truth? After all, if only one is correct, we should all want to know which we should listen to and follow because there may be severe consequences if we make the wrong choice.

Then there is whether there is a God, eternal life, spiritual life, or an existence after the body dies. Do humans experience nothing and, therefore, no life after death? If this teaching is actual, humanity has no direction for morality, right or wrong. They are directed only by themselves, living by the natural state of the fallen man known as "the animal nature," which is controlled by "survival of the fittest." Therefore, the man with the power tells others what is moral, what is right, and what is wrong. We see this play out among all the societies in the world through laws and traditions which dominate the weak and poor, women, children, cripples, and others. Rulers of Governments and corporations whose money and power dictate morality. So, what is the truth?

For me, it is the teachings within the Christian faith I find to be compellingly truthful. Not because all Christians teach the truth, they don't! As with all religions, Christians also get it wrong. If not, why are there so many denominations within Christianity and so many Christian churches in a tiny town? When fellow Christians greet, they often ask, "What church are you going to," instead of "I'm so happy to see you." But with all its flaws in the teachings of many, Christianity reveals something to us differently than all the others, and that difference is the discovery of Jesus Christ.

Why Jesus? Because of the way He was while on earth, who He is now, and who He will be in the future. God Himself! The man Jesus was also God.

In scripture, we read no accounts that Jesus was warlike, violent, or controlling. He did not demand service but served others; He never demanded lands, houses, gold, or silver. And while He had the power of the creator, who made all things in the heavens and the earth, Jesus only used that power to heal the sick, feed the poor, and love all. He was not impressed by the wealthy, the poor, the educated, or the ignorant.

Jesus was not a glutton, alcoholic, immoral man, gossipy, hateful, prideful, angry, or envying person. Instead, he loved all and lived what he taught flawlessly. He was peaceful, faithful, joyful, gentle, kind, good, patient, and disciplined. Furthermore, we can safely say that Jesus was the only person to have ever lived without breaking the Ten Commandments, as recorded in scripture that God gave to Moses. He loved God, His Father first; He loved all, even those who hated Him. Jesus honored His mother and father. He never murdered; instead, He raised the dead. Jesus never committed adultery, never stole, never lied about anyone. He never wanted what others had, items or wives. Jesus remembered the sabbath, and Jesus never practiced Idolatry. Again, Jesus lived what He taught, always.

Then, He did something remarkable; He showed us what it means to love genuinely. He allowed his enemies to torture and crucify His body to the point of death. He was God our creator, and He let His creation kill Him without lifting His hand against them. When one of Jesus' disciples cut off the ear of a soldier who had come to arrest Him, Jesus rebuked that disciple and healed the soldier's ear. That is why Jesus stands out from all others.

Can the other leaders of all the religions say the same? No! Jesus created us, came to earth for us, died showing us the truth about love, and never fought or told us to fight one another. Jesus stands alone. That is why people follow Him. He is the only one who loves each person unconditionally. He is the only one who walked the walk that He talked. Jesus gives us hope for eternal life, peace, love, and joy. Something truly spiritual.

Here is what the Roman Governor stationed at Jerusalem said about Jesus:

John 18:38: "he (Pilate) came out again to the Jews and said to them, "I find no grounds at all for charges in His case."

John 19:4: "And then Pilate came out again and said to them, "See, I am bringing Him out to you so that you will know that I find no grounds at all for charges in His case."

Here is what others said about Jesus:

Matthew 22:16: “And they sent their disciples to Him, along with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and do not care what anyone thinks; for You are not partial to anyone.

Here is what Jesus said about Himself.

John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me."

The record of Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection, supported by the life He lived on earth, the deeds He performed, the things He taught, and the recorded testimony of those who lived the same time as He, are the most reliable reasons, we can believe that Jesus is who He said He is. Thus, He is the only way to eternal life.
